Soma changed my life. After a decade of chronic back pain and many approaches to find relief, it was receiving a Structural Integration Series that made the greatest impact. Not only did it help to nearly eliminate my pain, but it empowered me to trust, listen to, and express myself in new ways. My experience of this work is what motivates me to accompany others on their journey toward greater health and wholeness.

Before coming to Whidbey Island to attend the Soma Institute of Structural Integration, I spent my life in New Jersey and New York City and I still carry a little East Coast with me. I have the warm demeanor you’d expect from someone in a healing profession, but I also love to joke, laugh, and tell it like it is. I find a little levity and directness are vital when working with the subjects and sensations that can emerge with this work.

Outside of my private practice I am an assistant instructor at the Soma Institute, working to share this profession with other people who want to make a difference. I love helping students learn how to listen to the language of the body.

When I’m not doing Soma, I’m playing in my garden, whizzing through crossword puzzles, or having deep and meandering conversations with friends. I also love to wander purposefully in nature—touching trees and feeling feelings.
