I’m Alice, and I love seeing people become fuller expressions of themselves
Soma changed my life. After a decade of chronic back pain trying many approaches to find relief, receiving the Series had the greatest impact on me. It not only helped almost eliminate my pain, but it empowered me to trust, listen to, and express myself in new ways. My experience of this work is what motivates me to accompany others on their journey.
Before coming to Whidbey Island, I spent my life in New Jersey and NYC— so while I do have the demeanor you’d expect from someone in a healing profession, I also love to joke, laugh, and occasionally “tell it like it is.” I find a little levity is vital when working with the subjects and sensations that can emerge as we contact our physical and emotional bodies.
Outside of my private practice, I teach at the Soma Institute of Structural Integration to share this profession with people who want to make a difference. I love helping students learn how to listen to the language of the body.
When I’m not doing Soma, I’m playing in my garden, whizzing through crossword puzzles, or having deep and meandering conversations with friends. I also love to wander purposefully in nature—touching trees and feeling feelings.
